Meet
DJ Matthew

Matthew is a professional entertainer and loves being a Party motivator and Disc Jockey. He believes that all you need to do is play the right songs at the right moment and everyone will have a great time.

Matthew became a DJ at a very young age. His very first public DJ event was at his 6th grade middle school dance. Matthew also became a DJ and radio personality in college at Bunker Hill Community College and Emerson College, both in Boston Massachusetts.

He has worked at the Major radio stations 1090 W.I.L.D & 97.1 Hot97 Boston. Not only has he been live on air, Matthew has worked with the national touring companies Live Nation & Clear Channel. He has played alongside some of the greatest Iconic DJs and provided services for corporations like the P.G.A, Macy’s, Converse, and Nike to name a few.

When Matthew is not mastering wedding receptions, you’ll find him spinning at some of the Greater Boston’s hottest
nightlife spots.

  Matthew was so easy to work with! In the business of wedding planning, I felt that Matthew was great at getting the information from us but not taking hours on calls when we had to go over our music wants. He was easy to contact when needed during the planning process, but otherwise he said we didn’t need to be in constant contact until closer to the wedding date, and that was so helpful with everything else going on.
  In the days leading up to our wedding, I connected Matthew with our day of coordinator and they did great putting together final details. Dave and I even made a last minute decision to pull our entire wedding party intro and Matthew was flexible and changed plans with ease.
  During the night, he did a fantastic job playing the music we had requested and feeling the vibe of the group. We asked for his DJ involvement level or however it was phrased to be excited but just there, nothing over the top. He was great at being approachable and enthusiastic, making announcements as needed, but not taking over the mic as we had asked. 
  Many of our guests loved DJ Matthew, as did we! We would certainly suggest him to any of our friends or family and are so lucky and happy we had him for our special day !

We have nothing but positive things to say about Matt! He was an incredible vendor to work with leading up to our wedding and fully delivered on the big day. He was communicative and prompt in his replies and was flexible in scheduling planning calls with us. Matt was comprehensive in his questions and made sure he fully understood what we were asking of him, even down to ensuring that he was pronouncing every single name exactly correct. 
 
The online portal was a great tool to easily lay out all the info requested of us. There were some technical issues we faced on the timeline section but that wasn’t Matt’s fault of course. Ultimately, the portal was an asset that helped us provide detailed info to Matt. We appreciated that he was open to as much or as little direction we wanted to provide. 
 
We ended up changing our ceremony spot the day prior due to weather, and he was very flexible and discussed logistics with the venue coordinator so it wasn’t anything we had to stress about. Being a bride or groom at your own ceremony is a whirlwind, and all of the music was exactly on the right time and at the right volume. 
 
We gave Matt about 12 hours of reception music and his flow was awesome. The dance floor was packed the entire night and everyone was enjoying themselves. The way he went from one genre / time period to the next and the way he mixed songs flowed so smoothly, and his timing for slow songs was perfect. I especially like how he would sometimes play an artist back to back when the crowd was really loving it. It was such a fun detail because when you hear one song by and artist you love and think “I want to hear XX now” – he did it! We got so many compliments during and after the wedding on the music. 
 
His announcement were well timed throughout the reception as well – the perfect amount of DJ involvement. The dance floor lighting was perfect too. 
 
Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our decision to hire Matt for our wedding. He was a huge part of how awesome our day was!

DJ Matthew was amazing! He was so helpful with Mark and Faith before the event, making sure to lead them through all the steps. During the reception, Matthew was enthusiast, well dressed, and played any and all requests. His MC skills were on point and set the tone and kept things going all the way through the evening!

People hopped on the dance floor and didn’t hop off until the venue kicked them out! We received lots of compliments after the fact about the wedding and especially the music. We feel so lucky to have had DJ Matthew with Double Platinum Celebrations at our wedding! From our very first phone call, he was kind, attentive, and genuinely wanted to understand the vibe we envisioned for our day. He asked thoughtful questions, guided us through decisions, and made the planning process effortless with his online planner, where we could easily share all our day-of details and music preferences. On our wedding day, Matthew was amazing. He worked seamlessly with our venue, kept everything on schedule, and made announcements exactly when needed. He kept the dance floor packed all night, and so many of our guests told us it was one of the most fun weddings they’d ever attended. We truly believe so much of that is thanks to him. Where do we begin?! DJ Matthew is ABSOLUTELY amazing. From the beginning, he was very communicative and organized. Finding the perfect DJ for our small and intimate wedding was important to us. We were looking for a DJ who knew exactly how to feel the crowd and coordinate accordingly. When we spoke with DJ Matthew in the very early stages of planning, he made sure that he would absolutely know how to engage a small crowd. He also shared that he had experience with a Korean American wedding which put our mind at ease. DJ Matthew was open to suggestions, but also gave great recommendations and advice when we were in need of ideas. DJ Matthew is friendly and professional. Our guests shared that the music playlist was so much fun and our DJ was THE BEST! DJ Matthew was smiling the entire time and his energy level remained the same throughout. THANK YOU DJ Matthew for keeping our party alive. My Mom was on the dance floor dancing with her friends and I never thought that my Mom would be the one to dance. DJ Matthew was fantastic! He was very thorough, organized and communicative throughout the planning process. The online planning tool and phone meetings leading up to the wedding were helpful to make sure we were on the same page. On the wedding day, DJ Matthew incorporated all of our requested songs perfectly throughout the ceremony and reception. He did an awesome job with the wedding party intros at the beginning of the reception. He kept the dance floor full all night. We had multiple people tell us that this was the funnest wedding they have been to, and we largely attribute this to DJ Matthew. He was awesome and we would highly recommend him to anyone!

Double Platinum is the best! We went with them because their military discount made it a great deal, but they were also just the best to work with! DJ Matthew is super professional, and he made our wedding day run without a hitch. He is super communicative and supportive of anything and everything you want to incorporate. Double Platinum Celebrations did a phenomenal job at our wedding! DJ Matthew was a pleasure to work with and was flexible, letting us put together some playlists for different portions of the evening to convey the tone we were going for during each section. Guests really enjoyed the pacing of the songs and DJ Matthew worked to ensure everyone was having a great time, curating a fun space and great energy that kept folks up and grooving all night long! We found DJ Matthew through DJ Kevin Duran and Double Platinum and he was fantastic. To be honest, he was one of the best parts of the wedding. Family and friends were constantly raving about the music and how the dance floor was packed the whole time! My dad was shocked that some people stayed on the dance floor for 2+ hours without leaving! In the lead up to the wedding, DJ Matthew was professional, thorough, and very easy to work with. DJ Matthew was the DJ for our wedding 3 weeks ago and he was amazing! He was exactly what we wanted. He was very interactive with the guests and got everyone hyped up. He followed our music wishes to a t and he was very, very accommodating with last minute song changes and add ons! We had multiple guests ask us about Dj Matthew and say that he’s the best DJ of any wedding they’ve ever been to! He was able to read the room and keep everyone entertained. He did an amazing job with introductions and keeping the flow of the evening. I cannot say enough good things about him! We hired DJ Matthew through Double Platinum Celebrations. The company and DJ were amazing. Professional, kind, easy to work with, a great system all around. DJ Matthew was on time, knew the right people to connect with, checked in with us and the wedding party to make sure everyone was on the same page and that the info we discussed was correct, and kept the party going all night. The music and vibe of the night was really important to us and DJ Matthew exceeded our expectations. Everyone that we spoke to at the wedding said the music made the night and that Matthew was amazing. He really understood what we were looking for, gave us the songs we wanted, and even started a song over for us because he knew we wanted to be on the dance floor for it. He knew how to hype up the crowd, keep everyone informed on the plans of the night, and was kind and professional from our first meeting. I could go on and on about how happy we are with these services, but overall DJ Matthew was a huge reason that our reception was beyond amazing.

DJ Matthew was fantastic at our wedding. Prior to the wedding, communication was solid and I feel like he developed a good sense of our music taste as well as the wedding itinerary details. During the wedding ceremony and reception, he nailed all the subtle and important cues including one where I wasn’t even looking at him. With a smaller wedding, I thought keeping the dance floor busy would be difficult. But, he exceeded our expectations with music our guests loved, keeping the dance floor busy the whole night.

We cannot thank DJ Matthew enough for being the DJ at our November 2024 wedding! He worked with us starting over a year in advance to make sure that we were providing as many details as possible to be sure he could help our vision come to life. The music genres we listen to are quite broad so we were fairly flexible on the style of music that Matthew played, but he somehow deciphered what we truly wanted and nailed the song choices. For the cocktail hour and dinner, we gave Matthew some broad categories and a general vibe that we wanted to go for and he absolutely crushed it. Without specifically requesting songs, DJ Matthew played exactly what we were looking for all night long. Our big request was to never have an empty dance floor and he exceeded our every hope – keeping it packed until the venue closed. The transitions between songs were impeccable and catered to everyone at our wedding. We had so many guests come up to us and compliment the playlist but it was all thanks to Matthew and his incredible talent. We cannot recommend him enough!
