Meet
DJ Lou

DJ Lou has been a DJ for over 20 years. He has a great passion for music and loves what he does. He is an experienced DJ who can handle any type of function and crowd. His ability to read a crowd and a dance floor is very important because he understands that each event is different. His digital music catalogue features Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, Dance, Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeats, and Oldies. Knowing what to play and when to play it is the key to a successful event. For Lou, there is no better feeling than having the dance floor in the palm of his hand, orchestrating a good time for everyone!

Lou works with his clients to create the energy and atmosphere they are looking for on their special day, and to him, there is no better satisfaction than knowing he has accomplished that.

Although DJ Lou is one of Double Platinum’s most recent additions to the team, we are beyond excited to have him represent us at your event ! DJ Lou would love to be a part of your day!

DJ Lou is the best!
Double Platinum got us in touch with DJ Lou, who was incredible. He took all of our song choices and incorporated them perfectly. Including some specific versions of songs that I thought might be hard to track down. He tracked us down when we were hidden away for the ceremony to get a microphone on my husband and at some point, must have talked to our officiant, who got him to incorporate a song clip at the last minute for his speech at dinner. He totally understood the type of atmosphere we were looking for during the reception and really got the party going in a way that was fun but still appropriate for some of our much younger and older guests. His timing was perfect for everything, and we are truly so thankful to have worked with Double Platinum to find him. Everyone had an incredible time dancing – I’m not sure anyone left on the earlier busses as the evening ran down because the dance floor was so packed and energy was so up. Truly an incredible night, made that much more special with Lou.

We had DJ Lou from Double Platinum Celebrations as our wedding DJ and he knocked it out of the park! He was set up and ready to go for the ceremony, had all our cues ready, and absolutely killed it with the reception. He was observant of the dancefloor and the mood, changing the music up where appropriate. We spent all night out on the dancefloor and it was awesome!!! Thanks again DJ Lou!!!

We had DJ Lou for our wedding, and he kept the dance floor rocking the entire night, and did a phenomenal job with our ceremony as well. So many family and friends came up to us after the event and said how good DJ Lou did, and he made it so easy for us as well, understanding and handling any last minute changes as to not make our week before stressful. I cannot recommend DJ Lou enough and we were so glad he was there on our wedding!

We had DJ Lou at our wedding last weekend and were so happy with our choice! We had two phone calls with him prior to the event and appreciated his communication skills, calm nature, and emphasis on wanting to keep the dance floor packed and the party fun!
He also helped get us set up with the sound for the ceremony and did a great job with that which can be challenging outdoors and close to the road where our venue is located.
He executed our plan for the reception flawlessly and the dance floor was packed all night. We had multiple guests come up to tell us what a great job he was doing and how much fun they had dancing. We are so happy with our choice and grateful to DJ Lou for helping us create a party and vibe that we will never forget.

We cannot recommend this company more!! Lou was such a gem at our wedding this weekend. He was the perfect level of trust but verify for the important details, and then just took care of everything else. I also found the company and Lou to be incredibly communicative. I felt like I have a handle of songs we liked, and Lou matched the energy for the rest of the night with the other songs. Everyone complimented the music and the dance floor was never empty!

Working with Lou was great! Really appreciated his calm energy, and the performance was excellent. We received comments from our guests that it was great, and we even had some of the site staff tell us that they thought DJ Lou was the best DJ of any of the weddings they had this year!

I have nothing but good things to say about DJ Lou, he was awesome! Communication with him leading up to the event was great. On the day of the wedding, he came on time and was all set up and ready to go at the start time we requested. He was able to accommodate multiple locations of the event at the same venue which was fabulous (we had our ceremony in the garden, cocktail hour in the barn, dinner in the tent, and then back to the barn for dancing and dessert). He played the songs we requested perfectly and overall we and our guests had an awesome time on the dance floor! We wish he could have stayed longer but there was a noice ordinance which forced our music to end at 10pm. I would use DJ Lou again and would recommend him to others.

We had DJ Lou at our wedding in September of 2022. He did a fabulous job!!!! Communication leading up to the event was great. Also, we had multiple locations at the same venue we needed music for and he was easily able to accommodate this. Most importantly, our guests had such a great time on the dance floor we didn’t want the night to end. I would 100% recommend DJ Lou and would use him again for future events.
